BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Amyntas, circa 80-65 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 2.36 g, 12 h), Indian standard, uncertain mint in eastern Gandhara. BAΣIΛEΩΣ NIKATOΡOΣ / AMΥNTOΥ Diademed heroic bust of Antialkidas to left, wearing crested helmet and holding spear in his right hand and wearing aegis on his left shoulder. Rev. 'Maharajasa jayadharasa Amitasa' (in Kharoshti) Zeus seated facing slightly to left, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram. Bopearachchi 11A. HGC 12, 426. Rare. The reverse corroded, otherwise, good very fine.
